Annual Dues: Invoices for 2008 were mailed on March 16th and are due now. Two-thirds of all dues have been paid. Thank you to those residents for your prompt payment. If you have not paid please remit as soon as possible.

Old Business: The Night of Luminaries was another success. Check out the website for photos of your area. We will schedule the luminaries again this year on the Sunday before Christmas and will try to organize some caroling also.

Area Reports & Notes: We still have an open position on the Board. Here’s your chance to meet your neighbors! We can shuffle area coverage if you prefer the one you live in. Please talk to any of the current Board members about joining!

We have again hired New Frontier Fertilizer to spray the cul-de-sacs and common area with fertilizer and weed (dandelion) control. Preferred Lawn will be mowing these same areas.

Spring Clean Up: Circle Saturday, May 3 on your calendar…this is Spring Clean-Up Day (with May 17 as a back-up day if we get rained out). We plan to remove several of the trees and brush that are growing above the retaining wall on the south end of the south entrance to our area. These trees have the potential to damage the wall. We also are planning to plant two trees at the south entrance to our area and another tree in the cul-de-sac in Area 2. Bring your gloves and rakes. I’m sure there are plenty of leaves and branches to gather! Lunch will be served after clean-up.

If you see Board members planting seedlings on Saturday April 26, please give them a hand…we bought about fifty of them! The City of Burnsville also has a tree sale on that Saturday from 7:30 a.m. –12:00 noon. The sale is at 75 Civic Center Parkway. Go to www.burnsville.org, click on Departments, click on Forestry and click on Tree Sale for prices and tree varieties to be offered. They are rumored to be $35 for 8-10 foot trees.

Also, William Byrne Elementary has a carnival and plant sale on May 10 at 9:00 a.m.

Remember We Have Architectural Control Guidelines: Spring is a good time to reacquaint ourselves with our guidelines. If you are planning any exterior improvements (paint, siding, shingles, landscape, decks, etc.) to your property please review the Guidelines which are available on our website www.riverwoods.info. We have also attached a copy for your review. If you have any questions or wish to submit a “Request for Review Form”, please contact David Schlicting at 952-926-6515. Let’s all work together to keep and enhance our neighborhood as a very desirable area.

Next Board Meeting: Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at Bob Theis’ home at 3300 Red Oak Circle N. Homeowners are welcome to attend.
