Board meeting: Bob Theis called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm on June 27, 2007. The meeting was held at Bob’s home. Seven board members were present.

Treasurer Report: The tax return for year ending 5-31-07 has been filed and the 2007 Statement of Cash Flow is included with this newsletter. Several homeowners still owe dues after second mailed notices and newsletter reminders. Final notices have been sent pending collection action by a third party.

Maintenance & Main Entrance: The south entrance and signage is now complete. Mr. Landscaper of Burnsville did a beautiful job. The project for next year will likely involve replacing or repaving a portion of the asphalt path in the common area. If you have suggestions for any other projects, please inform a board member.

Around the Neighborhood: Thank you for slowing down. The Riverwoods Townhouse Association has reported increased vandalism. Lock your doors. Keep your eyes open and call the police if you notice a problem. The Burnsville Police can be reached for non-emergency calls at 952-895-4600; all emergency’s use 911. David Schlichting has contacted the City of Burnsville about reactivating the “Neighborhood Watch Program” in our area. Anyone interested, please contact him.

Pride in our Neighborhood: There were 11 families from Red Oak Court South who helped dig up and replant the Area 9 cul-de-sac with new sod, plants and wood chips.  The workers aged from 3 years to seasoned retirees - all providing their expertise and physical labor to make the cul-de-sac look as it does today.  The workers and their families were treated to hot dogs, brats, homemade bars, cookies and soft drinks.  THANK YOU Red Oak Court South neighbors for working together and giving unselfishly of your valuable time to improve your cul-de-sac.

Thank you also to Doug Mosley, Area 1, for maintaining that beautiful cul-de-sac.

Lawn Care Information: Have the hot, dry summer days and Burnsville water restrictions made if difficult to maintain your lawn? If so and you are considering an irrigation system, may we suggest you contact Kerry Owen, owner of Aspen Ridge Lawn Maintenance, Inc., Lakeville, at 651-322-6877 for an estimate. Kerry has recently installed 6 quality systems in our neighborhood. We have found him to be eWe very honest and reliable. After considering bids by three companies, Kerry’s bid and personality won out. Please consider him in your bid process should you decide on installing an irrigation system.

The Annual Night Out will be Tuesday, August 7 this year. Lock your door and join your neighbors in the commons area for treats and conversation. The Annual Meeting/next board meeting will also be held at that time. Watch your mailbox for more details!
